The “gîte” (French for guesthouse) has been built after the example of a classical “countryhouse”.
As it was in sight of the 13th century church of La Berthenoux (as mentioned in the Guide Michelin) certain demands with regard to the outside looks of the house had to be satisfied.
It has been built with all modern comfort and is furnished and decorated in a very nice and tasteful manner. The house has a view on the wonderful “Vallée Noire” (the Black Valley) and is also situated in this Vallée Noire.
The premises have a surface of 2.5 ha and are planted with special and peculiar trees and shrubs, a.o. a 400 yr old oak tree. The guests have access to the whole garden.
In the “gîte” there is internet available.
If you should want to bring your cat or dog, please inform us beforehand.
We only accept non-smoking persons as guests/tenants of the house.
